The story of how Robbie got her names. First, you have to go to Butch's page and read What's in a name? Then come back here and finish reading. Go ahead I'll wait.......

Ok, now that your back, here's the rest of the story: I am a believer that thinks our pets come to us. I have to be, especially after this. Two summers ago we lost Butch's son, his name was Astroe (read Isis' story, and check back at a later date to read about Astroe). That's when we acquired Isis, Osiris, then Nefertari (you can read their stories on their pages when they get posted).... Jump ahead now to November 2005, Isis went into heat and was bred to Osiris, the litter was whelped January 26, 2006. Neffy went into heat the next day, and that got me thinking about saving Butch's line because I was not thinking about losing it because we had Astroe. I was not expecting him to cross over the Rainbow Bridge before his dad.

So I thought, let's have him tested and maybe breed him to Neffy and keep a puppy from that litter. Well, as it worked out, he's shooting blanks, after all he is 12. I was a little upset (OK alot), but there was nothing I could do. So I forgot about it and concentrated on the litter of new pups that was in my home. I listed the puppies on puppyfind and figured what the heck, I'll post an add and see if I can find any of Butch's bloodline. Thinking I'd never really get a response, but I'd try anyway. Not in a million years did I think I'd get a response.

Sure enough the next day, sitting in my email box, was a response from a breeder in Ohio that said she has my line, and a friend of her's, had an older litter with the same bloodline, in Pittsburgh. I called, she sent me the pedigree and sure enough there it was in black and white. I told my husband get in the car we're going to Pittsburgh! He thought I was nuts, but what else is new, and thanks for my Valentines Day present!

This was the last puppy from the litter and the breeder was going to keep her if I didn't take her. We got up there and I was still unsure about bringing another puppy into the house at that time. After all I had 4 adults and a new litter of 6 pups. My husband left it up to the puppy if she wanted to come home with us or not. I was leaving without her, my husband right behind me said wait... he turned and opened the door between the room the puppy was and and us. He said, "If you want to come home with us come on out here, if not go ahead in the other room with the big dog (that she was following the whole time we were there). She walked out to the room we were in and walked straight to Brian's feet and sat down, he sat on the floor and asked her again... Do you want to come home with us, or stay here? She started licking his face, laid in his lap and fell fast asleep. She decided to come home with us. So we told Carrie (the breeder) we're taking her home with us. Filled out the paperwork and home we came.

On the way home we were trying to find a name for her. So, I said Robbie since she was Butch's line and he was named after our friend, we'd give her his name too. That's when I decided on her Registered name as well, I thought back to the night that we lost our dear friend, just as I was telling my husband what I was going to call her, Guns-N-Roses November Rain came on the radio as a clear sign from above that was her named and it's approved of!  Yes, our pets, the pets we are meant to have will come into our lives, at the time we are supposed to have them. They find us, not the other way around. My husband now believes me when I say this to him.  You'd think that after 19 years of marriage, he'd already know this by now! That's ok though, I still RUV him anyway!!!! Robbie now carries on the name and the bloodline. After all the years of owning and breeding Danes I've never had one quite like her!

This is the day Robbie came to live with us. Thank You Carrie for selling her to me, I know you didn't want to part with her. She's a joy to have and a very funny girl who keeps us on our toes!

Robbie's favorite thing to do in life, sleep on the patio chairs! Soon, she won't be able to fit any more and will have to find another spot to sleep!

Robbie has been micro-chipped (46535D0B65). She has also been DNA Profiled ( Profile # waiting to received from the AKC). When she gets a little older she will be OFA's for Hips, Elbows, Shoulders, Patellas, Thyroid, Heart, and CERF'd.

Time for the ring!

*** Robbie's 2008 Show Schedule***

Schedule will be posted soon. We are planning on breeding Robbie in February of 2008, so she may not be back in the ring until Late 2008.

It's Show Time!

***Robbie's Show Results For 2006:  ***

Robbie's first show was Saturday, June 17, 2006 at the Bryn Mawr Kennel Club held at Ludwig's Corner PA. She is 6 months old today!

Robbie it's all most time for you to go in the ring. Oh, then I guess I better get ready!

Here's how ya get ready to go into the ring!

Hey Mom, why's Sam way over there taking my picture?

Mom, stop touchin' my butt!

See I can stack nice!

Just checking out my pearly whites!

Now What?

This lady thinks I'm too short!

Nope, 28 inches, we can continue now!

Mommy says, I'm being such a good girl!

Ok, so now I can goof off! Oops, mom says I need to wait a little longer.

After holding up the class because the judge wanted to measure Robbie to make sure she was 28", she took 3rd in her class out of 4 puppies. However, everyone did say she should of taken first and the judge was an idiot. No one hold up a puppy class to measure! Especially on such a young puppy! Oh well, better luck next time! Great job Robbie, not bad for your first time out!!!!

Wow!!! What a day for Robbie!

Nita-Nee Kennel Club, Inc. held at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall, PA on Friday, July 21, 2006 (and the 22, however, we will not be showing on the 22nd.)

Let me first tell you that Robbie and I started our morning bright and early. Got up at 4:30 am and hit the road on our 3 and a half hours car ride. Just made it in time to pick up our number and get into the ring. I must say Excellent job Robbie! She took Reserve Winners and now has her first point towards her Championship! (Sorry, no pictures were taken at the Nita-Nee show. It was just Robbie and I at the show, so there was no one to take any pictures.)

Not only did she take Reserve Winners, but we also hurried home for a brief nap and then to her Puppy Obedience Graduation! Where she once again just showed me how special she really is! Way to go Robbie! (Yes, I take all of my dogs to other trainers for their training. Although I teach them all of there Obedience, I will not give my dogs there Certificates with my signature. I believe a dog should stand on there own merits and will make sure there is never a question of there abilates!)

York Kennel Club held at the York Exposition Center in York PA on Sunday, July 23, 2006

I should of known Robbie was going to have one of those days, especially after Friday! And I really can't say I blame her, after all, she did spend mostly all day Friday in the car and it rained really bad Friday night and mostly all day Saturday, which meant muddy, slippery yard, so Robbie could not go out and run and play. She thought the ring was a good as place as any to goof off and run and jump around, just to get some of that built up energy out. Need I say more? She is still a puppy after all! After all the running, jumping and kissing the judge she placed 4th out of 5 puppies in her class (Puppy Bitch 6-9 months). I guess you can't butter up the judge like she does with Mommy, because after a Robbie kiss, she deserved to place first! Not bad for her third time showing and her first indoor show.

(Sorry about the pictures, Brian thinks these are good, Too bad not everyone else does. I think I need a new person to take pictures! That's ok Dear, I still RUV YA any way!)

Hey mom, look Dad's back their taking pictures!

Stacking up nice!

Mom, Look... Dad's over their taking pictures again!

Who says all four feet need to be on the floor?

Perkiomen Kennel Club in Eaglesville PA on Friday, August 4, 2006 & Saturday, August 5, 2006

On Friday August 4th, Robbie took 1st place in her division. Since she was the only dog in her division we kinda expected that. However, due to my knee injury she did not do well in Winner's Bitch. I just can not gait her around the ring well. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for my knee so Robbie can place better! Sorry Robbie, it's all my fault and of course Osiris', since he was the one who slid into my knee in the first place!

Saturday August 5, Robbie once again took 1st in her class. While tring to gait her in the ring for Winners, I retwisted my knee! Not good! But Robbie did good and the judge gave her a really long look and I thought he was going to place her, but he did not. I think it was the gaiting issue.

Thanks to Robert (my 12 year old nephew) for taking these GR8 pictures for everyone to see!

Pocono Kennel Club at West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert PA on Friday, September 15, 2006

Rain, Rain go away and come back another day! Robbie took 3rd in her class. All she wanted to do is play in the mud and roll in the hay!

Mom, Ya know it's rainning, right?

Yeah, just look at those puddles, Can't wait to get a chance to run and jump in them!

I don't like this hay stuff!

Mom, I really don't like this stuff!

It sticks my feet !

Checking out my pearly whites!

Ooooh YES! PUDDLES!!!!!

That was fun can we do it again?

Lehigh Valley Kennel Club at Macungie Memorial park in Macungie PA on Saturday, September 16, 2006-I didn't mean come back today! More rain, and Robbie took 1st in her class. But did not take Winner's. I judge didn't even take a look at her. Seems to me and everyone watching the show, the Judge liked Fawns, because that was all she placed!

Berks County Kennel Club at Kutztown Fairgrounds in Kutztown PA on Sunday, September 17, 2006-Robbie had a good day, but she didn't even place. Can't figure this one out. Everyone outside the ring told me they thought for sure the Judge was going to place her. I thought so too. I guess the Judge must of changed his mind, who knows, maybe he lost his mind instead!

Vally Forge Kennel club at Kimberton Fire Company Fairgrounds on Route 113 in Kimberton PA on Sunday September 24, 2006  (There will be 81 Great Danes showing this day. The Sweepsteaks starts at 8:30 a.m. and Judging starts at 9:30 a.m.)-  Still have to do some work with Robbie's free stack and gait. She's crossing her feet a little. She showed well today and is improving every time she gets in the ring (and so am I!). 9 dogs in her class today (but, the youngest,  9 to 12 month puppy bitch.) She did not place, the judge did look long and hard at her. This judge liked the Brindles, that's all she placed. Hopefully we'll find a judge that likes blues and will place Robbie!

Great Dane Club of PA Puppy Match Show on October 1, 2006 held at  Eagleville Park 100 Park Lane Dive, Eagleville, PA Judging starts at 12 noon! Sweeps judging starts at 10:00a.m. Robbie was wound up today! Good thing this was just a puppy match, because she was just not listening unless you wanted her to goof off! She did take Second place in her class. I do hope she does better at her next three shows. Especially Sunday with 11 others in her class!

Hatboro Dog Club at Middletown Grange Fair Grounds #684 (576 Penns Park Rd) in Wrightstown, PA on Thursday October 5 (20 Danes showing in Ring # 3 judging starts at 9:00a.m.), and Friday October 6, 2006 (27 Danes showing in Ring # 1 and judging starts at 12:45 p.m.)

***-->Great Dane Club of PA in Eagleville PA (Eagleville Park, 100 Park Lane Drive, Eagleville PA 19403) on Sunday, October 8, 2006<--*** WOW!!!! Can you say 137 Danes? Or have you ever seen that many all in one spot? If you would like to see that many Danes, you don't want to miss this show!!! Sweeps judging starts at 9:00 a.m. and class judging starts at 10:30 a.m..

Robbie took second in her class at the Sanctioned puppy match and did not place in her class on the 8 th.
